The message that Jesus speaks into Being is not rocket science. It is simple. When you look at His actual days on this earth, His everyday days, He lived a pretty simple life. When He woke up, usually “before the others” who were walking with Him, following Him from village to village, He got away to a lonely place, a wild place, a place His Father had made. There He would speak to His Father and listen in Solitude. Then He would turn and join the others and He would share the Words He had received. He gave Himself, His time, His energy, His body, His sweat and His blood.

At BridgeMont on S cubed Weekends that’s we want to do. We want to follow in His footsteps. He has given us a perfectly quiet , wild place that He made. He has given us a 500,000 acre backyard with a trail system hundreds of miles long. He has provided comfortable couches to sit on and look up. His couches are trees. Hundreds of years old, He laid them down and says, “Sit here with Me.”

The folks at “Live it” pick us up and take us to places where we can cut wood, stack firewood, patch a roof or paint a kitchen for a widow or a family in need back in the coves of Appalachia.

Miss Stacey always has a delicious, home-cooked meal served family style in the Lodge waiting. In the winter, there’s always a roaring fire in the fireplace or outside under a blanket of stars. In the summer, there’s a porch with rocking chairs.

That’s it. Join us. Come away with us. Work with us. He’ll show us how to take a real rest. He’ll show us how to recover our lives. He can show you how to live freely and lightly in the unforced rhythms of grace.

It's $100 for your bunk and food and everything else. Only bring what you need. You don't need much. We need 20 folks for a weekend. This winter, we only have room for 35 at a time.
